​On Saturday afternoon, January 3, 2015, the University of Florida Gators, representing the SEC battled the East Carolina University Pirates, representing the American Athletic Conference. The game kicked off at Noon, EST, and was played in front of 30,083 fans. The 9th annual Birmingham Bowl took place at Historic Legion Field in downtown Birmingham, and for the 3rd consecutive year, the team representing the SEC came away with the victory. The Gators beat the Pirates 28-20. A hard fought battle by both teams that helped cap off a great week of Southern Hospitality. Serious Football.
