Gildan New Mexico Bowl

Gildan New Mexico Bowl

University Stadium buzzed with anticipation in the final minutes of the ninth annual Gildan New Mexico Bowl, wondering if there would be a third straight come-from-behind, improbable ending. The Utah State Aggies wrote their own storybook ending, clinching the win on an 11-yard run with 1:33 left to play, making it 21-6. The victory was USU’s 10th of the season, marking its second winningest season in school history. It was also the Mountain West’s second consecutive win and sixth overall in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. The 28,275 fans in attendance were the most since the 2010 Gildan New Mexico Bowl, which also featured Conference USA’s UTEP Miners.
